New jewelry for spring in soft violet...........

I am LOVING designing jewelry!  When I had my retail shop here in Murfreesboro, I enjoyed doing a few pieces occasionally, but now I have totally embraced it!  I find it relaxing to stop and do a new pair of earrings or a necklace, especially if it involves experimenting with dye techniques that result in a wonderful new color, like the soft violet.  This shade actually has soft gray undertones so it is very feminine.  Hope you like it! -Tina

God promises to provide what we need......

I finally stopped to eat a quick lunch a few moments ago.  One of my worst habits is waiting until I am way past hungry before I stop to indulge in a few bites of something.  Because I sit so much at my computer and my sewing machines, I like to stand  when I eat.  Sounds really weird huh?!  Well, given that, when working from my home office I enjoy standing in front of the dining room window for those quick bites as I watch my adorable feathered friends grabbing a quick bite themselves from the birdfeeder.  "Chipper the Chickadee" is one of my favorite visitors.  When I saw him a few minutes ago,  God reminded me of His scripture from I Timothy6:17 that says He will provide all that we need. Even  little creatures like my tiny feathered friend attest to the love and care of our Creator.   -Tina

Surround Yourself With Inspiration!

Ever wonder how great artists and composers can create such beauty and uniqueness?
They choose to surround themselves with inspiration. A gathering of ideas, photographs, colors, textures, styles, ready canvases for needles and threads... favorite finds, father's sayings, mother's recipes, articles of the past, possibilities of the future...
Tina loves to surround herself with inspiration. Antique pieces from the past keep her grounded in the love and hard working ethics of those who have gone before her.
Samples and ready to be used articles of ribbons, lace, beads, vintage jewelry, antique lingerie, victorian patterns, trims, beautifully textured fabrics, sparkly dazzles, inspiring quotes, art of other artists, and pictures of the ones who have encouraged her along the way all inspire her as she works through her creative process.
These are the things that she treasures. By remembering her inspirations and favorite treasures, she is inspired to create a glorious masterpiece. An example of the beauty her Creator has placed within her spirit. And so she makes her works... expressions of the message in her heart, and a blending of the people and things she treasures.
